In Holy Quran , Allah Kareem mentioned the prayer of His great Messenger syedna Ibrahim A.S in surah al-baqra , verse ; 129
رَبَّنَا وَابۡعَثۡ فِيۡهِمۡ رَسُوۡلًا مِّنۡهُمۡ يَتۡلُوۡا عَلَيۡهِمۡ اٰيٰتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الۡكِتٰبَ وَالۡحِكۡمَةَ وَ يُزَكِّيۡهِمۡؕ اِنَّكَ اَنۡتَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡحَكِيۡم ١٢٩
“Our Lord! send amongst them a Messenger of their own, who shall rehearse Thy Signs to them and instruct them in scripture and wisdom, and sanctify them: For Thou art the Exalted in Might, the Wise.” — English Translation (Yusuf Ali)
This prayer came true when on Monday , 12th Rabi al-Awwal , in the year of elephant , 22nd of April , 570 A.D , Syeda Aminah gave birth
to a son of Abdullah bin Abd al-Muttalib [ a renowned leader of Quraish ].
It was a great news for Abd al-Muttalib who has lost his beloved son Abdullah a few months before . He named the baby ‘ Muhammad ‘
means highly praised . It was an unusual name for Arabs , so when some leaders of Quraish asked him why he had named his grandson
this unusual name ? He replied ; “ I want him to be praised by Allah in heaven and praised by men on earth .
