Al-Abarr pbuh
Means : The most pious
Abarr is the superlative degree of Arabic word ” Barartu ” which means the most pious and the most truthful .
It is mentioned in a narration from the Prophet pbuh that when someone speaks nothing but the truth , Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala rewards him with the title of Barr .
The Proophet Muhammad pbuh was named by Al-Abarr as he was the most pious and the most truthful person , even his enemies blamed him with many bad things like , he is a wicked person or he taught Quran from some people of the Book , but they always acknowledged his piousness and truth .
An Arabic poet Abu Ilyaas al-Du’li praised the Prophet pbuh as below :
فما حملت من ناقة فوق رحلھا
ابر و اوفیٰ ذمة من محمدﷺ
” No she-camel has never given ride to one more pious and more faithful than Muhammad pbuh . “
Al-Abarr is also one of the blessed names of Allah the Almighty .
