Al-Ahsan pbuh
It means the most beautiful , the best , the exellent , preferable .
The Prophet pbuh was named of this because he pbuh is the most beautiful person on the earth , the best human being , the Messenger of the execellent messege on the earth, preferable role model for every one in all walks of life .
Allah Kareem has said in Quran :
ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهُ ۖ وَبَدَأَ خَلْقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ مِن طِينٍ ٧
Who has perfected everything He created. And He originated the creation of humankind from clay. ( surah As-Sajdah : verse ; 7 )
It is narrated from Syedna Hasan al-Basri that he said , explainig this verse ; Al-Ahsan meant here Muhammad pbuh .
Syedna Anas R.A said , ” The Prophet pbuh was the most beautiful person , the most generous and the most courageous . ”
Al-Ahsan is also one of the blessed names of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’la . It is mentioned in Surah Al-Mominoon :
فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ ٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ ١٤
So Blessed is Allah, the Best of Creators. ( verse : 14 )
Imam Busairi ( May Allah be Merciful to him ) has described the beauty of the Prophet pbuh in his famous Qaiseedah Burdah Sharif as below :
فھوالذی تم معناہ وصورتہ
ثم اصطفاہ حبیباً باری النسم
منزہ عن شریک فی محا سنہ
فجوھرالحسن فیہ غیر منقسم
” He is only the person who is top of spiritually and phycsically . The Creater choosed him pbuh as His beloved . No one associate with his pbuh pure and noble attributes . He pbhu has an indivisible beauty .
