What We Collect

We collect the information needed to run courses, respond to enquiries, process enrollments, support students, and manage research participation interest.

• Name, email address, phone number, city, country, and preferred contact method.
• Course enrollment details, slot preferences, attendance records, assignments, results, certificates, invoices, and payment proof notes.
• Research interest, financial support requests, and contact form submissions.
• Basic technical information collected by hosting, analytics, email, and form tools.

How We Use Information

• To communicate about courses, schedules, fees, financial support, research opportunities, and institute updates.
• To manage student dashboards, teacher dashboards, operational records, attendance, assessments, certificates, and payments.
• To improve learning design, research planning, and student support.
• To meet basic operational, security, and record keeping needs.

Who Can Access Information

Access is limited according to role. Authorized AL-ISRA team members can manage operational records. Teachers see the student information needed for assigned classes, normally names and emails, plus academic activity relevant to teaching. Public visitors cannot see private student records.

Third Party Services

AL-ISRA may use services such as Vercel, Supabase, Google Workspace, Google Meet, email tools, form tools, and payment channels. These services process data as part of hosting, authentication, communication, teaching, payment handling, and administration. Microsoft Clarity may also be used as a third-party analytics provider, but only inside the signed-in adult student portal and only after a student allows it.

Optional Student Portal Analytics (Microsoft Clarity)

AL-ISRA can use Microsoft Clarity, a third-party product analytics service, inside eligible pages of the signed-in adult student portal. Its purpose is to understand how students navigate the portal, where usability problems appear, and which areas cause confusion. Clarity is not used on public website pages, teacher pages, or admin pages.

• Clarity may record interaction patterns such as clicks, taps, scrolling, navigation between portal pages, and general device and browser information.
• The Clarity project is configured with Strict masking, so visible portal text and images are masked before they are sent.
• Strict masking does not hide every kind of technical data. Structural information such as page layout, style and class names, interaction geometry, and browser or device signals may still be processed.
• AL-ISRA does not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, invoice or payment references, grades, assignment content, private profile details, or secure file links to Clarity, and does not use Clarity features that identify an individual student by name or account.
• Microsoft processes analytics data it receives as a separate organization under its own privacy terms. Please refer to the Microsoft privacy statement for details of that processing.

Your Analytics Choice

Analytics in the student portal is optional. On the first visit to an eligible student portal page, you are shown a short analytics choice with two options: Allow analytics and Decline. Clarity is not loaded and does not run until you select Allow analytics.

• Selecting Decline keeps Clarity switched off. It does not restrict or reduce any portal feature.
• Portal access, class participation, resources, assessments, and support never depend on your analytics choice.
• You can change your decision at any time in the student portal under Profile or Settings, in the Analytics preferences panel.
• Your choice is stored in your own browser, not in your AL-ISRA account record, so it may need to be set again on a different browser or device.
• If you withdraw consent, Clarity is not loaded again, and first-party Clarity cookies are cleared where this is technically possible from the website.
• Some cookies are controlled by external Microsoft domains and cannot be removed directly by AL-ISRA website code. You can clear those through your browser settings.

Analytics and Younger Learners

Microsoft Clarity is not intended to operate on child-facing pages, child learning sessions, or interfaces designed for users under 18. If AL-ISRA later introduces parent-managed access for children, those interfaces will be assessed separately. A parent owning or managing an account does not by itself make a child-facing interface eligible for analytics.

Student and Parent Requests

Students or parents can contact AL-ISRA to ask about their stored information, request corrections, or discuss deletion where operational and legal record keeping allow it.
