Introduction of prayer:
This verse refers to the favors Allah Kareem had bestowed upon Sayyidna Musa (as). Sayyidna Musa (as) was born in the year when the Pharaoh (Fir’awn) had commanded to kill all male children of Bani Isra’il. His mother was worried that Pharaoh and his chiefs would kill her son. So she placed him in a case and cast him into the river. The river carried him away and she became grieved and distressed but Allah Kareem strengthened the heart of his mother. The box was picked up by the people of Pharaoh. Allah Kareem bestowed the love of Sayyidna Musa (as) in the heart of Pharaoh and he decided to took the baby with him. Thus Allah Kareem managed to brought up Sayyidna Musa (as) in Pharaoh’s palace.
Meaning and virtues of prayer:
1- وَأَلْقَيْتُ عَلَيْكَ مَحَبَّةًۭ مِّنِّى (But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me):
Allah Kareem mentions His favor upon Sayyidna Musa (as). When the people of Pharaoh were killing the children of Bani Isra’il, He Almighty saved him. Allah Kareem states that He cast the love of Musa (as) on Pharaoh and his people and in this managed to bring him up in his enemy’s house.
2- وَلِتُصْنَعَ عَلَىٰ عَيْنِىٓ (so that you would be brought up under My ˹watchful˺ Eye):
The word صَنَعتُ here means “good upbringing”. عَلَىٰ عَيْنِي Means under My Eye. It was the decree of Allah Kareem to bring up Sayyidna Musa (as) in the palace of the King of Egypt. Allah having the great authority and the most perfect power, determined that Musa would not be raised except upon Pharaoh’s own bed. He would be sustained by Pharaoh’s food and drink while receiving the love of Pharaoh and his wife.

- Recite this prayer 100 times
- Recite Salawat upon Sayyidna Muhammad (pbuh)
- Imagine the wanted person and blow it on him
