Introduction of the prayer:
This prayer is a part of verse: 71, surah Al-Baqarah. It is reported in commentaries of Holy Qur’an that There was a man from among the Children of Israel who was impotent. He had substantial wealth, and only a nephew who would inherit from him. So his nephew killed him and moved his body at night, placing it at the doorstep of a certain man. The next morning, the nephew cried out for revenge, and the people took up their weapons and almost fought each other. The wise men among them said, `Why would you kill each other, while the Messenger of Allah is still among you’ So they went to Sayyidna Musa (AS) and mentioned the matter to him and Musa (AS) told them that Allah has commanded them to slaughter a cow. But they did not obeyed the command of the Musa (AS) and disputed, so the matter was made more difficult for them. They were ordered by Allah to slaughter a specific cow having certain attributes, مُسَلَّمَةٌ لَّاشِيَةَ فِيهَا ۚ(wholesome and without blemish) was one of the attributes of that cow.
Benefits of reciting the verse:
مُسَلَّمَةٌ لَّاشِيَةَ فِيهَا Means without any defect and mark or flaw which spoils the appearance and quality of something. It is suggested by Islamic and spiritual scholars that if someone is suffering from any skin disease, dark spots, scars and stains on face or body, he should recite this verse for 41times and blow on the cream or medicine he is using for treatment, Insha’Allah by the blessing of this verse, he will be cured.
