Introduction to the prayer:
This prayer is a part of the verse 113; Surah An-Nisa. in this verse Allah Kareem has Addressed the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and described the favours and blessings He had bestowed upon him. He Almighty revealed the Book and the Wisdom upon him (PBUH). Indeed ever great is the grace of Allah upon the Prophet (PBUH).

Allah Kareem bestowed the knowledge and wisdom upon Muhammad (PBUH):
In this verse Allah Kareem mentions the favour and blessing He had done with the Prophet (PBUH). It is the grace of knowledge and wisdom which was given to the Prophet (PBUH) and Allah taught him all He Almighty wanted that he (PBUH) did not know before. We can also ask for the grace of knowledge and wisdom by reciting this prayer.
Knowledge and wisdom is a kind of grace of Allah:
Allah Kareem has given His Prophet (PBUH) plenty of blessings, but here, He Almighty describes just one and that is ‘knowledge’. It means bestowing knowledge and wisdom is His most important, precious and valuable grace on the Prophet (PBUH). It leads us towards the importance knowledge, so we should also pray for increment and addition in knowledge.
Prayer for low memory and dull headed:
It is suggested by the spiritual scholars that the recitation of this verse is beneficial for those facing low memory and are dull headed. Recite this prayer for 121 times and blow on water and drink it. By the grace of Allah it will work wonderfully.
